It was a "Faith Expedition"!

The week of July 21st through 25th was a "Faith Expedition" at Trinity Church of Aledo. Nearly 70 children came aboard the week long trek through the Holy Scriptures. While learning about God's grace shown to heroes of the faith like Moses, David, Daniel, Matthew, and Paul and Silas, the children learned their need for salvation was in God's greatest treasure - His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Special thanks to the VBS team headed up by Carolyn McCrory, this year's director. VBS simply couldn't happen without the dedication of the leadership and faithful teachers and committed staff. From daily skits to stirring music to creative crafts to scrumptious snacks to exciting recreation and lifechanging bible lessons, dedicated Trinity Church members came through again and again. The week ended with a picnic at the church and a closing program on Friday night.

This year's mission project was the Children's Home in Bhogpur, India. For 60 years, Christian missionaries have staffed this home for children of parents suffering from leprosy. Children live, eat, sleep, go to school, attend worship, and grow into God-fearing adults because of this Christian home. Our kids donated over $500 to help the children's home with a new well for clean water.

Pray for the outreach and followup, which has only begun. God brought many kids and parents without church homes that week. May He also add the increase to our faithfulness in handling His Word!
